I finally got my XB forks and Triple tree installed tonight. Only took me 3 months to do, lol.

I disassembled the forks and powdercoated them. Also pressed the XB stem out, machined the XB triples and pressed my X1 stem in. Then powdercoated the Triples black as well. Fork upper tubes are 60% gloss, and the lowers and triples are High gloss wet black. Also am using amsoil shock theropy medium fork oil.

In the process of striping the old front wheel powdercoat off so i can powdercoat them. Now its time to move onto the rear and remove my polished swingarm and install my black one.

It's gonna look great! All that black... I would like to do the same to my bike some day. Are the wheels going to be the semi-gloss like the fork tubes?

I also dig that rear wheel

thanks- made the rear wheel all by myself! Billy Lane style

No, the wheels are going to give the bike color. They were going to be flat dark blue like the 1125s but decided on something else, will have to wait and see though.

The original PC is a b%^*# to get off! What are you using? It looks like you're about as far along on this process as mine ATM.

the original wheel powdercoat sucks! im using aircraft stripper. The machined lip area the powdercoat comes off easy, but the casting area is horrible. Looks like they used a powdercoat primer on that area. I was going to order some B17 powdercoat stripper but is $57 for 5 gallons and $60 shipping. I need is anyways but i have a family friend that lives in the same town as the place that makes it and is coming up next month... so hes bringing me up some since i need it anyways for other stuff.

did it bring the front back up to stock height? how are you measuring it? if the upper tree is not somehow a bit lower or offset like the lower one, i cannot see it bringing it the 1.5" up that would be needed. bet it is close though.

not much yet... other projects got in the way.
One of which was building a new powdercoating oven since i came to the conclusion that the oven i had would not fit my swingarm.... i will have pictures very shortly.

Hey Nate- I have not measured the front if its back up to stock height, it is what it is. If you want to measure your front height and Ill measure my bike and we can see.
