Is there enough slack in all of the control cables if I put 1" risers on my X1??

Thanks!!

1" Risers no problem, but taller bars(S3T) will require a spacer between the top clamp and the gauge mount for clutch cable/tachometer clearance.

I have S3T bars on my X1 and they fit no problem. You just have to go back in the loom a ways and cut a few wire ties to free up some slack.

I've been looking at those risers for some time. Please share you impressions when you get it installed. Just need a bit of positive feedback to get swayed...

I installed mine a few weeks ago, along with lowering the front end 3/4". Don't worry, I lowered the back end too! : ) I ordered them from Al also, and love them. All the cables and such worked great, the only issue I had was the factory bolts were seized into the top triple clamp. I slowly heated and got them out, but it pulled all the aluminum with. Since they are low torque, and I wanted to use Al's nice Allen head bolts, I decided to tap and Heli-coil the threads back to the stock size. Everything turned out Awesome.

I just put on the new 180 Dunlop Qualifier Q2, and LOVE it. I also installed a air/oil separator at the same time right next to the oil filter, and it too turned out great!! I even got my alarm and autostart installed in it this weekend. : )

Here are a few pics before I was all done. it's missing the rear fender and some other little things. Sorry for the thread hi-jack!

Thanks,
Chad

The bike looks great. Could you put up a close up picture of the risers? And tell us more about the autostart device. Never heard of one before for a bike...
