I have not been able to locate a S1 shifter. Decided to upgrade to the X1 style. They are on back order everywhere I have called. I am at the mercy of the parts gods. Does anyone have a lead on one??

I know someone has one sitting in their garage. I need a hook up to get back on the road. Lend me the shifter and I will buy a new one when they are off back order...or I can go ahead a make the purchase of a new one and have it shipped to you, either way. Lets talk...

alright, I got it taken care of. Big thanks to Jeff at Appleton. He gave me the numbers to 6 dealers that showed them in stock. Picked one up, should have by Thursday....

Mike,

Glad you found one! The X1 shifter was a little long on my bike, not that it's an S1, but I needed to cut the end, drill it out and tap it to make it fit right. I took 3/4" or so off.

If you need to do that you can remove the toe peg with a rag and some vice grips.

Feel free to PM me if you need pics, or measurements of my trimmed shifter, advice or anything. It does polish up nicely.
