Need some advice.
I have a 2000 X1 Millennium that I've owned for about 5 years now.

I took it all apart to polish the swing arm, motor mount, rocker covers, etc. This was about a year ago...lol

I just had my first baby and now want to buy another toy... A Jeep.

I honestly don't feel like putting everything back together so...

Should I just part it out or bite the bullet and put it back together before selling?

Thanks

I kind of figured that's what everyone would say.
My biggest issue is time. I have a new baby girl, summer classes just started up and I work full time.

Where's the best place to find someone willing to put a bike back together. All the parts are clean and neatly organized, just don't have the time. My weekends are now spent burping a little girl and changing diapers.

Thanks

I know this will sound like a heresy but 1) given your circumstances, and 2) purely from a financial perspective and 3) the fact that you are not planning to keep the bike, and 4) if you were my best friend asking for advice, my suggestion would be to sell the parts so other Mil owners can extend the lives of their bikes. You can be selective as who you sell to...
Now you guys can beat me up...

I think I'm going to first attempt to sell everything at once. This would give someone a great opportunity to get a nice bike at a cheap price, they would just have to have the time and know-how to put the puzzle back together.

If that don't work....Then I will just part her out.

Yeah, people buy basket cases all the time. Most of the time they're not even organized at all, just a "basket" of parts. Good luck with the sale, I've been in your shoes before only now I have three little girls.

Not sure on a price.

I was just going to take a lot of pictures, list the make, model, VIN, mileage, etc. put her on ebay and craigs and see how it goes.

I really hope to get at least $2K for it. It's a great bike just needs put back together. Probably an easy task for the right person. I've seen just the 1200 EVO engine go for a $1000.

Maybe you should try to sell here first?

yea, you're probably right.

I would hate to sell a millenium edition to someone that only was looking for a donor bike.

I'll take pictures tonight when I get home and try to post tomorrow.

If I don't get any bites here I will try ebay and Craig's next.

Yea, I'm in Jax.

It's all there. I think the only thing missing is the exhaust. I had a Vance and Hines but I gave it to a "Friend" to re weld the mounting bracket that always breaks. And the Jack-a$$ somehow misplaced it.

I can't promise that every nut and washer is there, but it's a complete bike. My plan was to use stainless when I put her back together.

Your more than welcome to look at it before I post it. I am at the beaches so I think it's about 2 hours.

Mileage was around 27K I believe.

Good condition, never dropped or wrecked.
