I know this has been covered, but humor me.

1st - I know the Cyclelift is no longer available. I've emailed American Sport Bike to see if they have any but I'm not holding my breath. If you have one you want to sell, or know where I could get one, please let me know.

2nd - I do have a T-Rex rear stand, but I'm not sure how will it work. Does anyone use a 'typical' rear stand to lift a tuber with the newer style swing arm? Do I need to worry about it slipping?

3rd - I have seen some use jack stands under the foot pegs... How do you get it onto the jack stands in the first place?

I can't use a cherry picker or ratchet straps from the ceiling, so those options are out.

I bought a front and rear stands from Handy and they work just fine! I have used them multiple times and never had an issue with them slipping! If you want to put jack stands under your pegs put stands on lowest setting lean your bike over and then rock it up on the stand, Then have your buddy, girlfriend or who ever slide the other stand right underneat your other peg! That's what I did one time and it worked out for me! Or if your leary about your swingarm stand go ahead and use it to prop your swingarm up slide jackstands underneath peg mounts and then remove stand!

Mick - I didn't realize I'd be able to lift the bike onto the second stand with just my muscle. Also didn't think about using the rear stand I have to get it on the jack stands. I may not need to buy anything extra afterall!

I have the same pitbull stands. They are wonderful.

The front stand is much better than most stands that lift from the bottom of the forks.

I use a HF stand for the rear on my X1. I had to cut the pads short but it works fine.

For the front, ( i know you said you couldnt) but i have 2 eyebolts through the ceiling and hang it with ratchet straps.

I open the access hole and hang the 1125 from the celing

I use the rests for the rear of the x1 with stands, to lift it on place the one opposite the kick stand tip the bike up on to it, slide the other one under the stand side. done.
