So, once I get my insurance money, and a new bike, I am going to install some kind of alarm. LoJack is expensive, so I was thinking about something like a gorilla alarm like this http://www.amazon.com/Scorpio-SR-i900-Motorcycle-A larm-4020-0052/dp/B001ALY14Y/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t does anyone have any experience with alarms like this? I just dont want to put a $700 alarm on a $3000 bike. but I could get one of those remote-alarms for about $150 to $200. Or is there a cheaper way to get a GPS alarm? There is one for like $250 on ebay, but I dunno if I trust a hong-kong POS |

Dang, both of those look pretty expensive. Does the guard dawg have any alarm, or does it just prevent the engine from being started? I'd like something that will wake my ass up if someone is trying to touch my bike while im sleeping. Like how they got my X1 last week... Then a "citizens arrest" would make me feel so much better. |

Then a "citizens a$$ beating..I mean arrest" would make me feel so much better. well money is money you get what you pay for most of the time. It's like a cheap helmet for your head. Do you have a $30 dollar head or a $400 dollar head? I am into my X1 $11k, over 2yrs of work. So that amount of money for a damn good alarm is nothing. |

The GPS thing would probably be cool so long as they didn't put the bike into a metal truck. Faraday cage.... It really seems like the best bet is to chain the damn things down. Just make it a pain in the ass to get it. |

I'm with Preybird, I have so much money into my bikes, that 4-500 or even 700 dollars are not a waste of money in order to protect my bike. even considering that I can't go into a dealership to buy a new one anymore. |
