I guess God wanted me to not waste any time. I embarked on a journey into the archives to find Loren's post about updating his charging system. Lo and behold, in the very first archive I randomly chose (Feb 21, 2009), Guess which thread was at the very top? : D

Sounds like you better not waste anytime.

I have a feeling I'm going to miss those extra amps on the trip to Texas on the S2. Praying that we don't have any cold wet weather on the trip. The S2 To Do List is way to long to worry a charging system upgrade for me this year. At least there will not be any 12K ft mountain passes to go over.

Yeah, I'm trying to source the parts for it a little cheaper. I'm going to swap in my XB12 Primary gearing literally days before the trip and I don't want to have to take the primary off twice. I'm gonna try and get a new isolator in the left at the same time, since IIRC I have to take the sideplate off to get to the primary.
