Author Message   Purpony Posted on Monday, April 12, 2010 - 08:41 pm:        Well i finally got time and my lifting setup finished to start working on my XB fork conversion. As i though before i took the frontend apart, to have the XB forks to clamp correctly in my X1 triples, the top of the fork sticks out the top of the triple about 2 inches therefor lowering the bike and not allowing the use of handlebars. If I lower them to make them the same as the X1 location, the lower triple is clamping on a thinner tapered part of the fork. Those with XB forks, does this sound correct? The real way to do this is make a longer stem and lower the bottom triple clamp down about 2 inches. Also, i know i have asked this before and not sure if anyone has tried it... does the XB lower fit an X1 upper? Im going to take them apart and take some measurements.   Purpony Posted on Monday, April 12, 2010 - 11:56 pm:        ok- i now know for a fact, X1 and XB internals are completely different and are not interchangeable.
