Straight across trade? Prolly best to meet in the middle and go for a ride together on each other's bikes to make sure you're both gonna be satisfied. Make a vacation of sorts out of it so you don't feel too stressed and can focus on the bikes.

I've purchased both my bikes used, out of town. If there is money involved in your trade cash is easiest otherwise make sure to meet when banks are open, weekend transactions can be difficult and frustrating otherwise.

There is a lot of trust involved (on both sides) in this sort of thing so be patient. If it's someone who has been here a while and you are comfortable with them all the better, if not try and pull up their posts and see what sort of person they are here, then decide how far you are willing to trust.

I hope this is of some help, though not exactly what you asked for.

I've made a swap before, we agreed to meet at a race event, we took a half hour ride on each others bikes and stopped for coffee. after a talk and another inspection, we signed titles and went our separate ways. It worked out for me. Good Luck

Traded my 73 Nova SS for a 97 S3T on this board. Never met before, he came and tried the car at my home. I then drove the car to his home checked over the bike and took it home. We both were happy and no issues. We were only about 2hrs. apart. If distance is an issue, someone here is likely to check out a bike and even photo or video it for you, just ask.
