hi all,

i picked up one of those new front discs for my '95 s2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=230458800397
(it will fit my s2, no?)

now, should i get a set of ferodo 847 pads or ebc fa210? or something else?

thanks,

I used ebc and they sucked, At least the organic ones did. they fade under hard braking, they wore out in 5k miles. Too much braking and these pads started smoking like i have never seen. It looked like the pads were actually on fire and billowing smoke!

I have a set of sintered pads to put on. But i am waiting for a new rotor.

I'd email or call Al at American Sport Bike. They have the Lyndalls, which might be your best yet priciest bet; also they have EBC sintered, which might be harder on your rotor, but they will stop you sure enough.

I have the EBC sintered HH on the front and the Ferodo sintered out back. Couldn't tell much of a difference on the front with the exception of a lesser initial bite but the rear definitely works better. It now actually slows down the bike...

ABS have a lot of things that are not visible on the web site. You need to call or email for best info.
