Met up with Eric and his minimalist M2 at a gas station, where we got delayed because the zipper on my jacket came undone at the bottom and I couldn't get it up or down - LOL

Then we went the back way out to the ocean and the road was in terrible condition!

We pulled over to talk and take some pictures when we got to the ocean and then proceed north.

It was a record setting warm day so there ended up being a lot more slow traffic than usual for a week night.

In a couple of places I slowed way down to let traffic get ahead enough so I could enjoy a couple of the corners.

I could see Eric looking over his shoulder probably wondering if I was having bike trouble, but I think he figured it out when I came back up on him quick!

Next time we'll have to just hit some back road twisties, but the roads are such a mess from winter and the recent flooding that you don't dare go fast without a pre-ride to check conditions!

Good riding with you Eric...

it was a great ride (despite the antique drivers in front of us ; )), and makes me want to get out even more as the weather gets better.
I'll be checking out some of those back road rides as I'm dialing my suspension in.

Eric,
you need an upside-down fork on that beautiful M2, I have a spare one if you need it...

I have thought above converting to USD forks, but I really don't see that the performance/weight benefits out-weigh just keeping the conventional forks. Am I wrong?
There is a lot that I'd like to do on my bike. And after seeing Scott's bike, I think that after fixing oil leaks here and there, I'm going to start polishing .

Polish everything that you can as long as your ready for the life long commitment that you are about to enter into.I still have to polish the X1 swingarm before I install it on my S1.Then swap the PM wheels off my S2 with the gray wheels on the S1.
