Hey there, been getting my S2 into good shape for this nice weather and am pretty much there, had the rear shock replaced under warranty (second time : D) and had the fork seals replaced, fixed the speedo cable etc. I was wondering if any of you fine folks might have the service manuals for a 95 s2? Also, if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to optimize my suspension that would be awesome as well. I weigh about 230 and from what I understand the stock settings should be too light. Thanks!

New springs front and rear is the first step.

http://www.traxxion.com/

They are 4 miles from my house and have done 4 front ends for me.my S2 and 3 different BMW's.They do great work and give good advice.Max the owner came out,sat on the ground by my S2.Explained my rear suspension and why the 1st recall shock didn't work properly. He offered to call Buell after they turned me down for the 2nd recall shock. He could have steered me towared a Penske, but told me the recall shock was a good piece and to save the money. The guy that answers the phones there,Mike rides an 1125 CR and a Speed Triple.

Yeah, 230 with gear is about right. I have the last revision shock on there, which I understand to be a bit better. Plan as of now is to save some money up and get some new springs, maybe a heavier fork oil might help as well.

Heavier weight fork oil would be a definite + at that weight.

I have the first recall shock (check Castro's page) on my S2. I also have the Buell shop manual and followed the suspension setup by the book. I weigh close to 148 geared up. My front is set up to the default setting (I think it's 4 + 3) and my rear shock is set very close to max stiffness now.
