Hello all, brand new to the forum. Just picked up my dream bike 00' X1 from former Buell owner Robert aka Baybueller. Great guy and he took incredible care of his bike, thanks again Robert. Been drooling over the X1s for over a decade and finally pulled the trigger. First ride was the hour and 45 minute drive home through one helluva lightning storm, ironically enough.. I'll be posting before and after pics soon with the mods Im planning on doing soon, and if anyone is up in the Auburn area for riding, hit me up. -Trevor

Congrats Trevor on a awesome choice of bike, not that i'm biased, glad you've finally got one.
I lusted after a Buell for years and finally got my X1 late last year.
Its the first bike that i've not thought about trading/getting rid of in the first months of ownership, even tho its stopped on me 5 times.Still love it to bits.....

Congratulations. I also have a '00 X1 with just about 17,000 miles. It is indeed a bike in a class by itself. I strongly recommend getting yourself familiar with ECMSPY. It gives you access to the heart of the beast...

Hi Trevor I'm from the east coast I have a 2000 X1 with 35,000 miles on it. It starts up after a long winter like it was new!
Have fun on your X1. I love mine! K

I know what you're talking about with respect to the first startup of the season thing.
Mine has 85,000 on it and just started up yesterday like nothing.
I've been neglecting it more since the addition of my 2008 XB12X too.

yeah 85,000 that is something I've been slowing down on my X1 too because of the ULY I've been doing an average of 10,000 miles a year on ULY and just commuting on the X1 to work.
A great match up the X1 and the ULY
getting on the X1 the first part of the riding season is totally awesome
