OK, I *thought* I had it installed correctly but maybe not?

Bike is a 98 S1W, factory Buell Race header (long primaries, 2.5" rear-facing collector) and muffler.

I had a rear exhaust flange nut come off at the head. Loosened the entire system, retorqued in sequence, etc etc, but I have an odd oscillation in the rear header pipe at certain revs (i.e. free-revving on the sidestand, as it drops from 3k down while I was chasing a leaking flange gasket). It almost seems like there should be a support between the rear header pipe and the frame rail above the cam cover...

Is this just a mis-installed problem and I should re-retorque everything again? Or do I just live with it and keep an eye on the flange at the rear head? (This is the first tuber race exhaust I've had; all my others have been slip-on muffler changes with the stock header).

check your front isolator.

Post a picture when you get the chance Joe. Only the rear not the front is shaking???

Weird, I would run down the rear connection at the head.

Ya, only the rear. I think it was because of the long "elbow" it has - it comes off the head, turns a corner, goes down a little bit, turns another corner and has a loooong leg forward to another bend where it meets the front pipe. It's almost like that rear leg is too long...but I'll check and retorque.

And blame Brankin. He rode it all over WI at Last Ride, LOL.

That explains it. Brankin broke it.
