Triumph had their demo trailer in town yesterday, and I had always read about the Speed Triple being an awesome hooligan bike. Well, my S1W, although it is 88 ci, would blow it away. Tried to get the front end up several times, when no one was looking, but it doesn't want to hike it like the Buell does. Something about missing about 30 ft/lbs of torque and I came away unimpressed. It did handle good, but the seat has you in one spot that you can't move from. It does have a more upright sitting position, but not being able to move around would become uncomfortable on a longer ride I think.
It might take the S1W on a racetrack, but it would have to be a high speed one. On the road, it doesn't have a chance.
