Hey,
Just got the old dog out for the summer (or what passes for that in upstate ny) and decided to doll her up a bit.

I added the CF tank accents from Al over at America Sport Bike. (Shameless plug) If you don't shop there, you should!

I haven't had the plastic on the bike in eons so of course I couldn't find any of the well nuts that are necessary to connect the front. I finally found two in the fender area and was able to accomplish the mission.

So after looking in the trusty parts manual I found that are a couple different well nuts used by part number. I'm thinking they may be the same, but I don't know.

So does anybody know the difference between

This one is the lower belt guard
7818Y Well-Nut(2)

This is the fender and tank/Airbox/Side cover

M0705.3 Well-Nut (4) or (6)

Also does anyone know where to get them and screw AA0408.11CDBL that lovely black zinc 1/4x20x3/4 screws that drove me to remove the body work in the first place?

Thanks
matt

Well the nuts are classified by size. IE 1/4-20,

Take said, blown, wellnuts to your local fastner store and they can get you what you need for a 1/16 the cost of the dealer.

McMaster Carr has them.

That is where I got the ones for my oil tank, they were the exact ones that came out of it.

Another possible local source might be a marine dealer. I have seen quite a few items attached in boats with well nuts.
