Is the rear brake line for a 98 M2 the same for a 2000 M2?

For a stock line, they're different. The Early master cylinder is the lay-down kind, and the Late ones stand up. The stiff metal part is different. If you are replacing the line with a braided stainless one, the same one may work though.
