Are these straight-through or baffled?

Has anyone used one of these?

What do you think of it?

Straight with a core no heavier than window screen.

Core self destructs and packing vanishes after extended periods at 5,000 rpms or above.

After many attempts to repair the core I bought a 2.5 x 16 gauge perforated Stainless core sold by Dennis Kirk and fitted it and its been fine.

Mine is an early model IIRC the later ones have a heavier core.

BTW they are LOUD!

i have wileyco on my x1. i love the way it sounds.

it has not been maintenance free. the hanger bracket has give problems. i sent it back to company and they repaired it with a new bracket. (not free)

over time, drilling out the rivets to check/replace the packing has resulted in oversized holes. i bought a new tube and kept all other components. it is in good shape now. (hopefully for a while)

the sound is fairly loud but not obnoxious.

i have no complaints.

I have one on my S1 that I have had on for about 15000 miles with no issues, probably an early one, I think it was around 99 or 00 when I installed it. I have never repacked it, and I think it sounds great not much louder then a V&H on my S3. It has maintained it's shiny finish as well.

I've got wileycos on my '04 XB12R and on my '99 Cyclone. Both sound very nice, on par with a V&H....not too loud, not too quiet. No problems with either one.

I am about to repack mine. The front mount on the elbow broke off on my first trackday on it. The bolts shook free from the elbow to the front cap. I made a new front mount and bolted the elbow back to the cap, and haven't had any more trouble after a full race and trackday season.
