Hi i have just bought me a Buell M2 1999 mod,, The bike is surging and pufs/backfire in the carb a lot.
I have tried all the tip in carb mods and have rebuild the carb 2 times.ihave replaced the intake seals and exhaust seals. It has a KN filter and Hines exhaust..
Main 200 sec 45 and 2.5 pilot turn..
Do anyone have a tip what to do further??

Paal, post some pictures of the bike. Particularly a close-up of the carb area. Give some more background on the bike, is it a stock/original setup? It still sounds like there could be a leak somewhere in the intake.

Just out of curiosity, how did you figure that out?

you take out the spark plug, connect the compressed air in the plug hole(one bar) when the engine is at top comp center,, then you have to listen in the air intake and exhaust side .. if the air leaks out you have a bad valve.. Mine where leaking a lot at cyl 2
