I recently scored a nice set of X1 Showa forks with triple trees to fit on my M2 and have searched the KV and old posts. What I'm still wondering is do I need to pick up X1 headlight brackets to fit the X1 forks? Is there anything else that I need besides a front fender?

Thanks.

No prob. It's a pretty simple process, though I haven't finished mine for many reasons.

Might as well replace the steering head bearing and races while you're in there.

Yup to all said above.

May I suggest making sure your seals are good before you mount them up? The last X1's were built eight years ago, they're past due on seals and fluids if they've never been done.

Mine need it but aren't getting done as I've got no way to suspend the front end. I sure wish I'd put in the Race Tech springs and valving while they were off initially.

I'm not going to rush the switch over. Hey, I'm in Canada and still snowmobiling!

There is a good local suspension shop that deals in race tech kit and I may have the forks gone over before the install. Depends on time and money.

I'm also still looking for a Reactor Yellow front fender so no rush.
