Howdy, I recently picked up the remnants of an M2, frame, body work, swingarm, Along with the shock and other goodies that I plan on bringing back from the abiss. First post here, this is/will be my 2nd tube frame bike to share the garage with my 98 S1. The shock appears to be the recall version with the clam shell and cage around the shock eye. It doesn't have the secondary reservoir and just a brass plug on the shock. Is this normal? thanks for any response. Don

Yep, that would be normal for a Cyclone shock not to have a reservoir. You do see lots of Cyclones with the reservoir shock, but I know my '99 cyclone's shock is just like yours.

Thanks for the assistance, I wasn't sure if it was a keeper, looks dry with no leaks so I'll be using it in the rebuild.

Sorry if I have posted this before but my2kx1 still has the "temp clamps" installed.
Is there a recall shock that is owed to me?
I tried calling Buell customer service once and just got confusion/phone cuttoff.

No, nothing is owed to you. The "temp clamps" as you refer to them are the SRP, Shock Reinforcement Package. Your shock with the SRP is as fully capable as the later shocks.

Hope this isn't shocking news,
