I forgot to ask in my last post.
73-78 lbs on the (2) mount-head...?
100 lbs on the iso bolt...?

correct?

Thanks again!

60 ft lbs on the Iso mount bolts, 100 on the center bolt.

Red Loc-tite on the mount bolt threads and oil the washers, tighten to 60 then back off one turn then re-torque to 60.

Always use new bolts and washers when reinstalling the head mount.

Lubrication for accurate torque reading.

The specs are in section 3 of the service manual under cyl.head assembly.

James,
Just found the torque values in section 3 (page 3-4)
Mine reads "Front isolator to cylinder head bolt" 73-78 ft. lbs

Is 60 close enough.....? or do i go with the 73-78? I'd hate to screw this up.

Thanks for your help

IIRC there was a revision in '00 to the 60 lb. spec. because of bolt failures.

I did my S3 a year an half ago to 60 lb. and no problems so far, and I'm sure Oldog used that number on his X1 last summer.
