I'm looking for the M2 rounded fender for the aluminum swingarm. The X1 fenders are squared off on the rear lip.

How can I tell by looking if a fender is for the steel or aluminum swingarm. I know the S2 had a similar shaped fender.

I hope this isn't a dumb question and I find they all mount on both swingarms.

the steel swingarm fenders had a flat lip on part of it, they do not interchange.

Just look at the mounting of it, the steels bolt straight down for 2 of the bolts, the aluminums go through the side on all of them.

X1 fits late M2 (aluminum) as well.
The early M2 97-98 steel swingarms had a different one.

If the front of the fender at the bottom where it bolts on to the swingarm has a little "nose" in the middle sticking forward that bolts on to something, that's for the aluminum swingarm.

The steel one has like a flat flange that goes around the front circumference, instead, no little nose sticking out.
