Who grabbed the frame? I wrestled with whether or not to buy that all week! I watched it down to the end and saw someone pick it up in the final seconds.

I thought about it just for the side plates and kick stand at that price. But thought it was best to pass.

I thought about the sideplates myself. Mine are pretty beat up. Another set I bought have issues as well. If I'd have know the shipping amount I might have given in. I did succumb to the fairing.

Congrats on the fairing. I almost had to have it for a spare, but thought surely someone else needed it more, so I stayed out of the bidding.

I've got a Parkway tailpiece and tank cover in very good condition and I've been looking for a fairing suitable to paint all year. It'll score some points with the wife. I'm willing to trade anyone for a fairing of similar quality if there's someone who really needs a black sapphire fairing.

I am glad you got the fairing Roger. I got nothing!!! Of course I was only looking at one thing and I got distracted before I put a bid in and it was gone. Damn it!

Loren, you know that admitting he has a problem is the first step. I would say Roger is leaps and bounds ahead of me in recovery. I am no where near the first step and I hope Lynn does not find out how much I just blew on ebay.

Sorry about the wiring harness Roger but I needed it as well. I will tell you this. The wiring harness they sold is actually two. The main one and the front one. The main one alone is 260 new. However, I am pretty sure another tuber wiring harness will work as long as it is not FI and even then it could be modified. The only thing different would be how the wires terminate in the headlight (stupid HD design) vice how the S2 front end is wired.

The main one and the front one

Darn. I wasn't smart enough to realize it wasn't part of the fairing. I did make off with the ignition switch. It seems like the PO was trying to tell me something was funky with the one I've got. I'd probably spend less if I had the bike together and wasn't worried about what wouldn't work. : )

As far as another tuber harness I do have the M2 harness I bought recently. Do I have an M2? No. Do I plan on buying one? No. Was it a case of hoping it would cross to something else? Yep! and.... My name is Roger....

I think we'd all just support each other's logic in buying more parts for that next project!

Did anyone track what the seller got in total for these parts?

Ha, that is an enabler group, not a support group!!!

I think I can ballpark what he got for all the parts just by looking at my checkbook.

I had been watching the S2 fairing and forks to fit on my '00 M2 but in the end thought better to let it go to someone who actually needed S2 stuff.

Now if any of you S2 guys has a nice S3 fairing, etc. that you are not using, don't be bashful about letting me in on it!

I sold my extra S3 fairing about 6 months ago. You really want an S3 fairing and mount for your M2. Keep posting under Parts Wanted and occasionally post under Old School and someone will let loose at some point.

Did anyone still want that bodywork? I talked myself into getting rid of them then no one wants em! :-)

Probably for the best - see the add in part classified for pics

I didn't reply to your email since I hadn't made a hard decision yet. I saw them in the classifieds a couple of days later and decided the decision was made for me. The price was a bit higher than I was willing to spend right now. It may just be the pic, but they look like maybe the Texas sun has turned the Snap Red to a soft orange. I think if I have to paint I may as well use what I've got. They do look to be in excellent structural condition! I'm sure they'll find a good home.

The picture turned out weird from my crappy camera phone. It is a bright red...trust me. Ill get some good pics when I get access to a good camera
