This is the same chap who every blue moon offers up his rather tatty rattle bomb RS 1200 for $6K, while nice ones go for $6 to 7K. I wish him well.

Last time I checked the PM wheels go for $525.00 each
I have the 2000 X1 racing stripe too and a couple of years back a HD shop had it up on the lift 3 feet off of the ground and they left it for the night. The next morning they found it laying on the floor. The bike had over $1,000.00 worth of damage to it and a nicked front PM wheel, which was replaced. I was so pissed off at the shop Never Ever taking my X1 back there again. K

They do from the dealer, but the market has been flooded with PMs over eBay lately, with many of them going for less than $500/pr NIB.

3 lb. dead blow and a short piece of soft Pine.

Small flat spots can usually be removed with the side grain,if using the end grain cover flat spot with shirt cardboard (beer carton also works) very little polishing required when done.

I don't speak French but my sister has lived there for 30+ years.

1x2 board 12 inches long, end grain is at each end of the 12".
Less "give" then the 1" edge or 2" face.

Cover/protect the rim, less marring/marking = less polishing.

PM wheels are very soft compared to their cast counterparts.

Purdy bike! Is that a sharktooth or PM pulley?

I think it's the sharktooth pulley it is an original solid Buell part, not the plate cover. When I bought the bike I bought all of the add on parts from the rack at the shop, evreything but the chrome rings for the tack and speedo. I didn't do anything to the dash.

good looking X1. I'm not a big fan of PM's (even though my X1 is wearing some for now) but the slotted ones always grab my attention.

An X1 and a Uly.. good choices!
