Just got my 3 bottles of AMSOIL 20W-50 and want to drain the engine oil right after my morning ride on Turkey Day.
Problem is, my dealer had only an oil filter in chrome, and a black one for H-D Dynas which has a lot more volume.

Now . . . I don't like chrome oil filters, and I do like having a larger oil volume, so the Dyna filter seems to be perfect for me. A quick check confirms that there's plenty of space to mount a longer/taller oil filter on the S2, but before I do I'd like to check with you guys if there's a reason for me not to do that.
Thanks!

I use a Purolator Pure One PL30001, available at Advance Auto Parts for $7. it's a tight fit at The lip, but it holds an extra 3/4 quart, and has the best filtration you can get, second to the Amsoil filter. The Amsoil filter is much more restrictive as far as flow.

IMHO, the best way to go on OIL FILTERS is a Wal-Mart PN ST8A in the OEM position and a RETURN LINE FILTER Wal-Mart PN ST4967 ...

Have a 108,822.1 miles as of the last ride ...

Pictures of my set up by request, just e-mail me so that "i" can get your e-mail address ...
