For some reason I thought the fender ended at about midnight. Must have been bad math earlier this afternoon. Congrats to whoever got it and let me know if you're interested in reselling it.

Which fender? I've got a slighty damaged rear fairing half from a '96. Damage is all to the plate holder. Genius tow truck driver tied it down by the turn signals. Let me know if that's what you are looking for and I'll shoot spme pictures.

Thanks, I really appreciate the offer. FWIW, I've got an upper I don't need if you're interested.
There was a new carbon fiber inner fender that I had my eye on, had the green light to go get it, and decided to come back to it rather than put a bid in right away. It takes some effort to bounce between my work and home log-in or I might have noticed earlier. I'm sure it went to a good home. I was so sure I was going to get it I almost offered my current one to another owner! Good thing I put that one off....

Roger and/or Kevin. Do I understand your terminology that either or both of you have a spare tail-section that you would be willing to part with?

That is correct. I'm willing to let go of the worst of two that I have. I'll take a look to see which that would be and shoot you some pics. Kevin's sounds like it would be nice to make a custom rear end with a cleaner look.
Is it too close to "chopper" to have the plate mounted at the axle? I don't even need it and my gears are spinning....

Eric,
The tail I have is good except that the plate / turnsignal area (parts painted black) are damaged. Should be an easy fix as it's all flat area. The rest of it's great! I'm starting to put some of the parts from this bike on eBay now. Motor and frame went to a friend. I really bought it for the front end and front brake. It was towed and stored in the Chicago areas for a few years. Tank cover and front fender are perfect. Fairing is junk, same brilliant tow truck driver got that to.
I'm looking for a WP shock and upright fuel vent if anyone has one. I'm restoring S2 #1000.
Kevin

Eric,
I finally took a look at my tailpieces. One had the flush-mount turnsignals glued on, so it probably isn't up to snuff.

Dibs on the new (used) tailsection! I should have used the same user-name on eBay as on here. Don't know why I thought sneaky was good. I'm Frankensportster and I want it and I'll have it at (almost) any price.
