I just got lucky and was able to buy a used Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat with backrest for a fraction of the price for a new one. It also has the Yellow piping to match my Reactor Yellow M2. At first I didn't like it till I realized I have been sitting too far forward all this time. Now the bike feels snappier, handles better, and my legs fit against the body shape like they were supposed to. It makes be lean forward more than I used to but I like it. It is a little harder to turn my head to clear traffic. Anyone trying one out should give it chance. I almost passed on the deal but the seller was local and let me borrow it for the week to see how I liked it. All in all I'm not just liking it, I'm loving it.

I actually want to buy one, and am going to order one next month. I'm tall and I find that on the stock seat I'm pushed against that abrupt transition which should be rounded (like the Corbin) and there are hot spots here and there from the padding being to soft that I feel after a few hour of riding. The Corbin (from what I'm told) will take care of those since it's contoured nicer and more evenly firm – I'm looking forward to it!
I also want to change the bars but I'm definitely going to wait and see how the seat changes that relationship first.

I got the same set up, actually I have 3 seats, now that I sold my stock one.
I put Blast handlebars on my M2 and they're like about 2 inches taller so I can sit uprighter again. The little hump on the seat is moved back about 1.5" and it makes a big difference in the feel. The Buell Select Seat has the same move-back of the hump, but the cushion is still too squishy for freeway very long.
I got the Gunfighter+Lady first, but my Lady said 'no way', so I bought the bachelor Gunfighter to save some of that weight. The Corbin seats weigh like 15 pounds, the stock seat is maybe one pound.
But I was commuting on the highway, and either Corbin is really noticeably great for the highway. I'm 6'2" by the way.

The foam is quite solid and should remain that way for years. I forgot to mention that I'm 5'9". Most of my riding is local 10 to 20 mile trips. If I rode long freeway rides a lot I'd probably get the 1" risers from our sponsor "American Sport Bike" but I'm cool with it the way it is.

Pardon me if this has been asked. I couldn't find it. I cannot be the only one who has his seat unattach itself on a routine basis. The stocker was bad enough but my Corbin (which is like heaven otherwise) comes off within a block. Anyone have a good fix for this?

Jim2, congrats on your find, I hope it proves to be a good seat for you. Color matched piping will be sweet too. I'd love some sort of back rest to help keep my daughter on, she can't ride with me now since I'm afraid she'll drop off the back!

Sorry for the following thread jack:

Tonyd,

Need more info, is your attaching screw spinning itself loose? If so we have a thread on that, I'll need a bit of time to find it...

Actually just do a search for that in thread titles, I need to go to bed. There were a number of suggested remedies that sounded like good ideas. It was titled "Pathetic Seat Screw Thread" if I remember right.

Drill a hole is one wing of the hold-on screw, and thread a vinyl-coated small-diameter braided cable from the hardware store through the hole, and use a big clip or a small carabiner to clip the other end of the cable to some convenient point far enough away to keep the hold on screw from unthreading itself.

Like Brinnuz said, "Safety wire."

Is the pegasus seat the one with the orange piping and pegasus logo? Are they still available? My dealer does not have a m2 2002 acessory catalog, so no goodies for me.I would like to see some original bags too.
