I am working on a 99 Buell S3, the problem with the bike is when he gets up and running, he ends up blowing the oil tank cap and oil spill all over. He has had his bike at several shops, has had all kinds of stuff done, but still has the same problem. OIl lines have been changed, performance item put on/taken off. Can anyone give me any suggestions? they have tried less oil, the right amount, nothing seem to work. Thank You.

Ray

>>replaced oil lines,

Did you check the vent hose.

It's the one on the top left and goes in the cam case, tight fit under the starter with the wiring harness.

Just a thought.

I second that. sounds like the dry sump reservoir is getting pressurized.

Is tank plug a snug dry fit?, is tank vent hose plugged, kinked?Try a rubber block on top of plug between it and seat to hold down plug.
