Order the choke cable and fix it yourself before you try to sell it. It's a $12 part and can be installed in minutes. It'll make a difference in the eyes of the uninitiated buyer. I bought mine with a broken choke but I bought from a friend and I already knew I could trust his word on how easy it was to fix. If it was a stranger I might have passed up the bike because of such a small item. Isn't there a blue book that will tell you the value? It looks like most are listed for $3,200 to $4,500 in good condition.

+1 on what Jim said. If I were you I would wait until spring to sell it. The mileage is bit too high so I would price it accordingly.

The banks refer to NADA and their values are discouraging but good if it's YOU looking for a great deal on a car or bike from a dealer. But the book doesn't take into consider what the market will really bear so in this case I'd try to price it based on what the market will tolerate. I've seen them selling for $3,500-$4,500 as Jim states as well. Given that amount of miles - that's quite a bit. I'm not sure since I got a pretty good deal on mine – I paid $2,800 for my 2000 M2 this year with 6,100 miles on it.

NADA Book Value is:
Low used -$1,755 Hi Value – $2,305

I think what you have you could get more for it. Try higher and see what the reactions are. you could always come down later, but it depends on how fast you want to move it.

For a 60,000 mile bike?

I'd say $2000-2250.

If $2000 doesn't change your lifestyle just keep it and ride it. That's what I would do.
