Just bought a 98 S1 and ordered a HSR 42 carb for it. Any ideas for a good starting point for jetting? Bike is stock, besides a V&H slipon and force winder aircleaner.
Hoping for a stronger hit with this carb.

Thanks

I'm running a Mik HRS42 on my 01 M2 Cyclone. Seems to be running lean but no promblems. One of the other Buellers said that his was set up for a 1200 Sportie from the factory and that you needed bigger jets for a Buell. Follow the instructions on the Mikuni tuners manual when upgrading your jets and keep a log. If your plugs start fouling then you went too big. Had to add an extension on the choke bracket for the Mikuni choke [enrichener] because the stock bracket for the Keihin was too short.

You'll get the stronger hit. Did you buy the HSR Quick Kit for the Buell, or the generic Sporty kit? This is important, because the Sporty uses a #20 pilot jet which is waaaay too lean for the Buell. I'm running the stock main jet in my Quick Kit, but sized up quite a bit on my pilot with the Andrews N8 cams and race kit. Don't recall what I sized up to, but I could find out if you need me to.

Just put an HSR42 (Buell quick kit) on my M2 this weekend. My only complaint is that I waited so long. It was sitting in the box for about a year and a half waiting to be mounted. Simple mounting...love the response. Proarc, you're gonna love it!!!
