Does any1 know if the ignition switch for a 2000 X1 Lightning is a 2 position or a 3 position. Just wanting to make sure before ordering aftermarket.

It's 2 position/3 wire. I just replaced mine with this one, works GREAT:

If you want the Buell key to work in the new ignition switch you can order a HD Dyna ignition switch that will work with your key number. Slide the rubber Buell cover off the key to get key number.

I just carry two keys, aftermarket ignition key and Buell key for seat, saddle bags, gas cap and fork lock.
