Any of you X1 owners - I posted a few thoughts on the Uly board concerning the similarities between the rear cylinder cooling scoops and how they affect heat felt on the rider's right leg. I'd love to hear some input from other X1 owners. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/506521.html?1256235311 |

I took my scoop off and it got worse. I had some motor work done and increased the size of the jugs only to a 1250 and it is even hotter now. I am going to have my header ceramic coated to help. I noticed with scoop the air was moving fast enough that it was cooler, To the point i really didn't notice the heat. |

All I had to do is ride the S3T with its lowers in the summer heat after riding the X1 with the LSS to notice the difference. The cooling effect of air that it forces over the motor is quite obvious. |

I run my X1 with no LSS. I have a ForceWinder, and Force pipe, and Race ECM. I added a bunch of fuel throughout the lean places and that helped a ton with the heat. It's not worse than my XB9S with Race Kit on it. It typically doesn't get hot enough here in Mn for me to worry about it tho. |
