hey everyone, so i have PM wheels on my x1 now. They are not my favorite. I want to either change to cast alloy or XB. Does anyone ever trade PM for XB? Or what is the selling price for both PM and XB if i had to sell the PMs to buy the XBs. I think i remember that you cant put a 180 on the cast alloys but if someone could just clear that up with me that would be great.

Scott, the PM wheels are no longer available, I would consider keeping them.

just me though, spacers and other items are required for Xb wheels.

watch E-bay cast alloy & marchesenni(sp)
wheels come up from time to time.

XB wheels take a bit of work (ask me how I know), but they can be had for fair prices if you watch the market long enough. Generally though, with some dealers spamming the market with PMs on eBay, the resale on the PMs is about $3-400, a little more if they are the slotted ones. XB wheels typically run about $4-500, but then you have to buy the supporting components (rotors, caliper, floating rotor retaining kit, pulley) plus the stuff to make them fit. The rear spacers can be had for about $50, with a few individuals building them themselves, but in my case I had to cut down the rear caliper bracket as well. Read my thread here:

The good news is that the XB wheels are a LOT lighter than any of the factory tuber offerings- about 5# in the front; dunno how much in the rear.
