Which line on an s2 dipstick is the correct one for a fully warmed engine?

On my 1997 S3T the oil is checked this way:

After the ride, engine running, on level ground, and on the side stand ...

YOU MUST HAVE AND AIR SPACE IN THE TOP OF THE OIL TANK OR THE ENGINE WILL PUKE OIL UNTIL IT GETS IT ...

Boy that didn't answer his question at all did it?

The oil level on an S2 when the bike is at operating temp should be at the double line on the dipstick.

The bike should also be upright for this...

here are the pages from the owners manual.



I tend to go a bit under just to prevent puking as Buellistic put it...

If you fill it to the upper mark you will soon loose it out the breather.

Put the longer filter on and keep your oil level just above the lower mark on the stick.
