What kind of job is that on an 2001? I'm told that there is a tool needed but I wonder about that...

I did buy the fork seal install tool but it was like 200 bucks. You may be able to get by with out it if your careful. The first time was about 3-4 hours but the second time was about 1/2 that or less.

I used a pvc pipe split longways down the middle. I think it was a 2.5" diameter about 1.5' long. It worked great, only cost cents. Its been about 1000 miles since the new seals and no leaks.

Hum, $200 or a few cents. Tell me more about this tube. It is for seating the seal yes?

I used a PVC Male adapter to set my seals as well worked well. Think it was a 1 1/2 " male that I cut most of the threads of and carefully set the dust seals with.
