TEXAS S2 STEP is a go- Leakey, TX, May 14th-16th, 17th optional. Sorry, I know this is overdue. Plans are to stay at the Camp Live Oak Cabins. Rates are reasonable, and from what Jay tells me, the owner is very cool about doing just about whatever out there, like if we want to have a campfire outside or something like that. The one bedroom cabins have three beds and the two bedroom cabins have four beds. I can't think of some of the other details but I will post them soon. | ||

I am thinking of getting a 2 room cabin if anyone wants to share. Lynn and I in one room, another couple in the other room and maybe someone to sack out in the living area. That is if I read the floor plans right. I will make my reservations soon. This is going to be great. Frank | ||

The othe nice thing is that the rates are regular season rates and not peak season, so the cabins should be very affordable, especially if people split them. I'm in to stay wherever as I'm as plentifully frugal as I am good looking  . (Message edited by Phelan on September 19, 2009) | ||

So we have Frank and Lynn, Jay, Me, RT, Tim, and probably Eric and Jaci thusfar. Excellent... I think The Dunns will be there too; I know Dan was planning on attending pending dates last time I talked to him. I forgot to mention that Monday is an optional day because I will be hanging around to make sure everyone makes it out of town. The shops will be open in cases we need to get some parts to get a bike back on the road. Or to go for a few more rides if everything else is good.. | ||

Eric, that is going to be a long haul for you to say the least. Somewhere around 2,500 miles one way. I know you and Jaci have done it before.  You two are an inspiration. Ross, you are about half way for us so we may need a hotel recommendation from you and then you can ride down with us. It is one thing to see a bunch of S2s at a Buell event but how cool would it be to see a bunch riding together through Texas. It will remind me of the first time I met Ratbuell, remember that Joe? Two S2s riding side by side to BMC. Classic. | ||

Frank, sounds like a great idea. If you get in town early enough, I'll show you around the Yellow Rose a bit and we can grab some excellent grub in the evening. Same to you Eric and Jaci. Since you'll probably be with frank anyway . Stuart, they just have the cabins, but Butch is really cool about letting people camp outside when the cabins fill up. I dunno that our group alone would fill them, but you never know... I do know that 3 stags could split a one bedroom cabin (3 beds inside) and make out like bandits at <$30/night. BTW, we let Cowboys fans ride with us, but they gotta ride in the back  . Just kidding. Great looking scoot. | ||

Ross, no big deal on my end. I have been very busy trying to keep up. I fell into doing a seat for a local guy for his Kawasaki Versys. I have sold 8 of them in the last month all stemming from the one seat, and then a few Buell seats. Finished a real nice looking 1125R seat in black leather today for a guy in Florida. | ||

I made my reservations. I got a two room cabin. We will leave Colorado on the 12th to be there on the 14th and will leave Leakey on the 17th. I start a new job on Monday so I am hoping I have the vacation to go. If not I do think I get sick leave if needed. Frank  | ||

Should be on the 12th. Plan is to go to Raton and head South East from there. Does the rally start on the 14th or is that an arrival date? If it is an arrival date I will change my reservations. | ||

Oops, I meant 12th. 14th is starting date but of course people can arrive on that date if they can't leave earlier. |
