i just bought a 2000 m2 w 3700 miles. it still has the stock shock. how do i go about getting it replaced? do i have to pay since im not the original owner? did they all have a recall that year?

Not to hijack this thread. But when was this issue corrected? I have an 01 M2 and I always thought the shock issue was a much older problem. Ill have to get my VIN and take a look.
