Can anybody educate me on the possibility of installing an XB engine in a Tube frame Buell? I am not talking about wiring but the motor mounts. I am told the rear mount is different. Has anyone ever made a mount to allow for a conversion?

Its been discussed before, im curious as to why you would want to? The trap door for the transmission is why i would want to keep the tuber engine.

the mounting is drasticaly different
unless you make up a very complex rear mount it wont work..

look for xb engines on e-bay get the pic then get a pic od a sporty engine, the back side is FLAT on the sporty / tuber
a large lug is present on the Xb engine

I have seen a Blast motor machined into a tuber frame. But a lot of work was done! A LOT!

Now the only main mechanical diff between a tuber and a XB motor is; the tranny, the crank mounting, cams, heads, pistons and oiling system...

SO

Slam some XB heads and pistons on your tuber motor and some larger cams, the stock XB head can handle 536 cams with no mods.

With XB12 pistons and heads and stock 'Lighting' cams you can see approx 91hp and with 536 cams about 95hp

Up the compresion with XB9 pistons and 536 I thing Tattooed and Screwed got 110+ BUT the XB9 pistons brings the compression ratio up to about 12 or 13.5 so be wary there...
