Does anybody know if it's possible to take a tail section from an X1 and put it on an S1? I have seen a couple of nice tail pieces from Airtech but even they need modification. Thanks!

Unless you want to do MAJOR mods to the frame no. They are two totally different bikes.

X1 has a bolt on sub frame, s1 has the tail mount as part of the frame.

the air tech stuff will fit right on an s1.

Ive heard that certain years older gsxr 98-2001 600's subframes will bolt up to an x1

have heard of an M2 with an X1 tail unit bolted onto and over the sub-frame,the X1 seat required mods to fit the rear of the tank if i remember right, have thought of doing this mod myself,

I looked at a S1 with a X1 tail rigged. It looked crap and half assed since the S1 tank wasn't mated well with the X1 seat.

its YOUR bike, but IMHO the S1 tail is a big part of what makes that bike look so damn tough.
The front looks kinda squat and the ass is way up like its sayin "lets go!"

If you chop that S1 heiney, lemme know. Ive been wanting to slap one on my M2.
