just thought i would post a few pics of my new X1 Lighting Racing Stripe, #291 of 800. plan on doing lots of mods as soon as i finish buying my gear. it has the race ecu and a Vance and Hanes exhaust already and i will be getting a new intake kit soon.   | ||

Very nice. First thing first....Get all the maintenance done BEFORE you go buying the expensive bling for the bike. Ask me how i know. It sucks when you spent your money on something you really didn't need and something needs to be fixed. Getting a factory service manual should be first on your agenda. That license plate is gonna get you in trouble, Get a thin sheet of aluminum unbolt the rear taillight and mark the holes on the sheet and drill em out, Then use tin snips the cut into a bracket and attach using the taillight to mount the bracket and attach the plate to the bracket. I can see some goodies already on the bike...Nice bike! Welcome to bad web........Were you lurking here.  I decided to leave the license plate light on until i found a suitable LED set up, But you can see i drilled for the switch over when i do. Just remove the light and raise the plate to the second set of holes. | ||

been doing the maintenance, and have the factory service manual. need to get a battery soon. brakes were just done along with oil/filter. just did new plug wires along with o2 sensor. the plate is iffy. i know some cops will not like it but i will probably leave it until i am forced to change it. the previous owner did it and he said he had no trouble for the years he had it. | ||

Those Red Stripes are beautiful bikes, would love to get one some day. Nice ceramic exhaust! Should keep heat more comfortable in the summer. You can probably ditch that California emissions set up, but it doesn't really hurt anything performance wise, vents the fuel vapors to a charcoal canister I believe, kept it on my bike for about three years then started to trim weight here and there. | ||

Wow,congratulations to the Goldtooth! But such a beautiful and pristine example of X1 deserves to remain original.My Buells' are BONE stock and work flawlessly. Pm me if you do remove stock parts,i might shelve a few if $ is right | ||

will try and keep all the stock body work as i get bored easily and may want to change it back to stock looking for a while. it is a beautiful bike. go buell! |
