2 questions...
1 do you guys think this is a good price?
2 how do I convince the wife who is taking care of our 3 month old that dropping $350+ on the buell is a good idea

350 is a decent price and all you do to convince the wife is to send the wife, her mother, and all her sisters to Hawaii for a week while you watch the little one. See it is an easy fix for a complicated problem. Heck that's what I would do.

Just another option..

This slotted style of PM is harder to find and IMO looks better. Plus these come with tires that have at least some life left.

Hope you're ready to polish your ass off. PM's look great when they're polished, but are a PITA to maintain and IMO can't be cleaned up proper while they're attached to the bike.

+1 on Captain Kirk.

I got PM wheels (see profile pic) but want to swap them for stock wheels that have chromed. I got the stock rims, I just have to convince her that it is worth the $500 to get them chromed.

Oh yeah, remember this about girlfriends/wives and buying bike parts. It is easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.

Why are you going to the stock wheels chromed... just a different look?

If you wants some cash to go towards that $500, maybe we can work something out for your current wheels?

Dstaff if you want to trade your cast wheels for my PM wheels I'll trade you mine for the price of shipping.

My PM's are shod in nearly new Metzler M3's and I have no way of removing the tires myself, so if you've got similar valued tires on your wheels that would be ideal.

Just let me know..

And Kaz has dibs on a deal of course if you guys work something out. I don't want to jump ahead in line - just throwing the offer out there.

PK / Dstaff - If you guys work out a deal go for it. I am not in a position to sell my PM's right now.

I do prefer the look of the stock rims chromed as opposed to the PM rims. The only difference between the two is that the stock rear wheel (5 inches vs. 5.5 inches) is not as wide. You can hang a 180 tire on a PM rim with no problem. After doing track days on both a 170 and a 180 I prefered the 170. Some people like to step up to the 180 due to it looking a bit wider. That was my thinking, but in the end the 170 performed much better in the corners.

ALSO!!! remember to swap spacers if you do exchange rims. They are different for the stock and PM rims.
