Okay, so even though it's like whipping a dead horse, I need some advice and voice of experience. I'm looking and looking for a tank bag for my X1, and here are some of my options: Buell Amigo - tracked one down, about $120.00 to my door. Wolfman, Timberwolf - About $140.00 to my door. MOTO PAK, GT MINI - $57.00 Fieldsheer Access Strap - $59.00 Fieldsheer Contour strap - $75.00 Wolfman explorer, etc. If I can find one used. I like the Amigo, but also like side pockets with a little room. Anybody with experience have some suggestions? Anybody know much about the Quality of the MOTO PAK, Fieldsheer stuff? Just for reference I've had my amigo close to nine years now and it's as good now as the day I bought it, albeit a little on the faded side. Didn't think I'd ever use the map pocket on top of it but it's come in handy on more than one occasion. | ||

I've been using a Moto Pak off of eBay for about three years. So far it's done everything that could have been expected of a bag that size. Price was really good. Only issue I have is that if you carry anything large and/or heavy the bag has a tendency to move side to side at times. Especially on curved roads. This may be a trait of many strap type bags. I also have a Givi Explorer and a large Cortech tank bag. I've rarely used either of these large bags because of their size. I've used the Givi strapped on the back as a tail bag a few times. If you're interested in the Buell Amigo bag because it is an actual Buell accessory, then go for it. But if you're looking for something functional regardless of where it came from, I think your money can be better spent elsewhere. There are brand new bags for half the price of what you can find a used Amigo bag for, and it's only because the Amigo is harder to find. It's a nice bag and all - I have one and it does what I need it to do - but not worth the extra $$ unless you want it for it's "Buell" value. Just a note, and you probably know this - the bottom two tank bags in your pics appear to attach with magnets. It's hard to get magnets to stick on a plastic tank  | ||

Not impressed by Fieldsheer - material felt thin and cheap. I am impressed by Tour Master - used a tank bag on my Honda for year round, multiple weather commuting. Held up great - very impressed by them. I hear Nelson Riggs is very good and they carry a lifetime warranty. You'll need to confirm. | ||

I have no personal experience with any tank bags other than the Amigo, but if Tourmaster makes luggage like they do protective gear then you can't go wrong with them! I've also seen some great luggage from cortech, although never a tank bag. They make saddlebags and a tailbag that fit on an X1 like they were made for it. | ||

I have had the Moto-pak for 4 years and have been very impressed with it. I got it for the price until I could get a Buell tank bag. I still do not have the Buell bag. A very small issue is the bars on my M2 will push the bag around when parking or tight turns like in the garage other wise no issues with the MotoPak. Happy Buelling!! | ||

I picked up one of the smallest MotoPak strap style tank bags since they were so cheap. Looks tiny on the M2, but perfect on my wife's black Blast along with those small Blast factory saddle bags  Safe ride, Gary in Oaktown | ||

Using the Cortech Micro Mini I think it's called, sorry I can't help with the bags you've mentioned. Used this and a daypack for a four day trip a year or so ago, held my shaving kit (toiletrys), extra glasses, maps, camera, small high output flashlight (surefire G2 I think?), and mp3 player. Quick clips are nice so I could put it where I wanted and just un-clip to fuel up.   It's wide enough to pack a bit of stuff in, though it will never pass for a computer case. Another "cute little thing" I suppose. I like the construction, seems solid material and stitching wise and the neoprene base protects your paint and helps keep it in place. Just tall enough to rest on during long rides too. | ||

That second Fieldsheer bag looks HUNORMOUS!!! I've had s Super Sport jacket from them for eight years and it has been great, was replaced early on due to a bad zipper, the folks that helped me with that were very accommodating, so I've always liked the brand. Don't know anything about their luggage though. -Mike | ||

I have he more square version of the Cortech. It's about 4 years old and is holding up great. I keep my rain gear warm gloves and gator in it -- cause the weather can go from summer to winter in just a few miles here in Colorado. I also keep a spare tailight buld ro the Buell. Although it uses straps I use it on the FJR as well -- | ||

littlebuggles - I noticed you have the aluminum dash. How long have you had it and have you had any issues with it? I have been wanting to get one but was warned that it is probably to stiff and will crack from all the vibrations (seeing how much the plastic dash flaps around). Sorry for hijacking the thread. | ||

Many tubers had a cast aluminum dash as standard equipment, so I doubt that'd be an issue. | ||

It wont break, since buell sold them aftermarket for the m2's also, i wouldnt be concerned about it |
