None of the local dealers have stuff in stock. Far away dealers take weeks to get things out.Guess e-bay has spoiled me but can't always find what I want there.

Check the sponsor section. Pick your stuff up off your porch in a couple of days. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/17143.html?1249608985

Yeah, the local dealer is always TWO trips, one to place the order (and pay) and a second trip when the part comes in.
Might as well order from American Sport Bike, if it's anything they carry. There's eBay, and here, and a few other sites carry 'exotica', such as Trojan in England, or Lucky's in Deutschland. If you do google search by part name, often a remote dealer will have something obscure on their web site too.

when it is engine related i tell my local shop it is for a 2000 1200 sportster and and they have the part but if i tell them it is for a 2000 buell m2 they tell me they dont sell buell parts. If it is not engine related i have to go to round rock or austin to get it ordered from central texas H-d/buell.

Want prices cheap as hell? Go with LSHD, but have fun when they ship the wrong parts and you get to deal with customer service, or the lack thereof (DAMHIK)

Want a decent price and great customer serivce? Try Beartooth Buell. They're in Montana IIRC, and I'm in Oklahoma but Beartooth has been great to me about tracking down outdated part numbers, shipping parts quickly, great customer service, etc.
Plus they are a BWB sponsor, so buying from them helps keep this website and all of it's priceless resources alive.

Phil,

I had not a single problem with LSHD.

I have even been in their warehouse and seen it in person! It's nice, and so are the people that work for them! They are super nice.
