I got one of the new s2/s3 oem shocks on ebay part number K0431.M that someone is blowing out it is 14.7 in:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BUELL-SHOCK-FOR-95- 96-S2-S2T-99-00-S3-S3T_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp 3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem5d25bf3e64QQitemZ4000652 48868QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Which part number front mount or recall kit do I need to mount this.

I have a 99 X1 that still has the 16.5 in original shock mounted.

K0407.01A1 is the one from the 2002 M2 which is the 14.X" Showa.

So, that would be it I assume. I don't have any other reason to believe it isn't.

Want to sell me your 16.5" mount?

I don't think they'd still sell the recalled mount.

The 02 M2 didn't really have many recalls, and the shock was the short updated "recall" one from the factory, as was the shorter mount.

I don't know if that is the short shock mount or not.

The part number I gave you is the part number installed on the 2002 M2. Which came with a 14.8" Showa when it was built, so it never had recall issue with the shock.

It is the same part number and some 2002 M2's did have the shock mount recalled. Here is the breakdown:

Thank you by the way a google search for the PN you gave me yeilded the above info.

Well, I didn't care enough to google, just figured I'd give you the part number in the manual which is the same part in the recall kit.

So, the part number I gave you is the part you want, as I said.
