Posting here so I don't get that second call from a bunch of people saying......"I changed my mind and I decided that you were right and that bike shouldn't become a (half pint) chopper".I got a shitload of those calls......My thought are that you should buy a Honda Rebel if you can't handle a big twin!If you're one of the half pint chopper builders I pissed off, then please take note that I don't give a rats rear end or two dead flys if you're mad.Atleast buy a POS if you have to buy a buell.I DO NOT WANT IT TO GET CHOPPED!With that said, that is the reason for my post here.I replaced this bike a few months ago.I was going to make another project out of it but that didn't get too far with all of my other crap.I wound up loaning it out and got it back with a few issues.1: Original tires are now officially shot. They will be showing air in a few thousand more very light miles!2:Right fork seal was leaking when tied down in my pickup.3:Starter is acting up at times.Bendix is slow to engage at times.Likely from sitting too much over the years and being started low on juice. The bike still looks near perfect except for the rear tire. Now,with all that BS said.Am I too optomistic at $2800?Should I just list it on ebay for a penny, see what it brings and not give a crap if it gets chopped?

This bike really needs to find a good home. That being said I would love to do so but like everyone else on the planet cash is short , I do however have a Couple of trade for options (200 Suzuki Esteem, 1967 VW Baja) if you would be interested? I know every body gets tired of trade offers but I got to try. ukex@hotmail.com if you would like pictures.

I love to trade, but I don't have any use for a Krautwagon.I have a hatred for those things that I won't go into!I don't have any idea as to what the heck an Esteem is,but I assume it's not a RM.If it was a nice Suzuki RM250 then we'd be talking!

I glad you reposted this 'cause I couldn't find the original post. Galen's S-1 is really sweet, I've seen it in person and what he's asking is a deal. I wished I'd saved my money from the swingarm I got from him and break a piggy bank or three and beg for more so that I could buy the bike from him. Somebody please please give this baby a good home.

And Galen if the trade we had talked about still might interest you give me a hollar.

Shane, you need to buy it or trade something I need for it.Surely you have some spare Mustang crap or a spare Honda two stroke CR stashed somewhere!I doubt it's going anywhere as I'm not pushing it too hard.I've passed up cash from the "builders" and pissed a few off.No regrets there!I may be a duummm-@$$,but I don't want to see it get turned into some little piss ant turd that requires a kidney belt to ride.I'd be happy to see it go to a new owner that would give it a few tasteful period correct mods though!

On another note I enjoyed looking at your S1 as it reminded me why I had to have a Buell for the last 10 years now!I've toyed with "adding personal touches" to this bike for a long time, but I havn't had the nuts to do it.Maybe one of these days if it dosen't find a good home.....

You know, I told the Mrs. a long time ago when I first saw your ad "I said that would be the ONE that I'd leave alone" ....well except for a nasty exhaust.

I fell in love all over again since it's exactly like mine when I got it ,minus the duckbill fender.

BTW what'd you get?

you know you really want my 93 Mustang, just like I want the S1...it won't get chopped. It would have a nice home next to my 97 M2 and would get lots of love and attention
