I need some help from the smart guys here!
The carb/aircleaner backing plate on my '95 S2 #1000 is pretty cracked up. It's the original fiberglass unit. I thought I could drop the poly unit from the '96 S2T I bought recently but it's also cracked. Looks like from heat.
The poly unit on my original S2,#244 is still fine. It was replaced under warranty by Buell in '96 or '97.
Is the poly unit still available? Part #? Is there a better way to go. My plan is to bring #1000 back as close to original as possible.
Thanks for your help!
Kevin

Thank you! That solves one of the issues with this old beast!
On the "Round up" thread someone had posted a thread with a part number for the tripometer retaining nut. My local dealer "flamed brake pedal"? Is my dealer confused?
Ratbuell, I'll drop you a PM to order the backing plate.
Thanks again!
Kevin

Also Butch - got your PM. The -94Y number you sent supersedes to the P0214.8A. First time I've EVER seen an original number priced TWICE as much as the new number!!
