Hi guys. I have a 96S2t and a 97 Lightning which is currently under construction. i bought all new isolators from American Sportbike with the intent of installing them while the engine was out. When I bought them I figured I would just replace them as a preventative measure. Now I am thinking i will just put the old ones back in. What do you folks think, am i better off with 12 year old but apparently still ok isolators or the new non-79D type isolators? Do the Firebolts not come with the new softer isolators? If so, are they having problems?

There are many iso threads. The newer rears are much better than the older ones. I would put them in and if the old front looks good keep it in there.

Judging from current problems, I'm with Skntpig. Good call.

Maru, good advice from everyone. What ever you do keep the one you did not install as a ready spare.
