is it possible to take the jugs off the bike inside the frame. i need to replace the base gaskets and the head gaskets can i do this without dropping the whole motor.

Just make sure you have something to support the cases when you have the heads and jugs off. Some support from underneath, some use a ratchet strap over the frame and some use both. Whatever works for you, just make sure it works. And good luck.
