I have the Techno-Research Scan Tool, purchaced it from Al at American Sport Bike some years ago to do TPS resets on my X1, a friends S3T and later a Uly... Seeing this new ECMSpy all over the place and I like how its advertised as being able to custom adjust the maps in the stock ECM, pretty good deal seeing how I've misplace my Race ECM. My question is: Can I use my VDSTSS cable and just download the ECMSpy software from the internet and have both? Thanks. | ||

I have both available but only use ECMSpy. Not to mention the fact that it's free. | ||

not that it matters anymore (ECMSPY is closed), and it would seem getting usable tried and true maps would be impossible... the question was, is the VDSTS cable just as good or the same as the ECMspy cable if using both programs? | ||

To answer you no the cable cant be used. they are incompatible for some reason I Physicaly Tried it some one can send you a copy of the software, (thats free) the cable can be purchased or built its in the archive |
